Adyen to Buy Talon. One for €750M to Combine Payments and Loyalty Programs
Dutch payment company Adyen will buy loyalty and rewards platform Talon. One for €750 million ($878 million). The deal, announced April 23, 2026, will combine payment processing with customer loyalty programs for over 300 global merchants.

Dutch payment giant Adyen announced it will acquire German loyalty platform Talon. One for €750 million ($878 million), creating a unified system for payments and customer rewards.
The deal, set to close in the second half of 2026, will give Adyen control of a platform that already serves more than 300 global merchants with loyalty programs, promotions, and customer incentives.
Talon. One specializes in real-time promotional campaigns and loyalty rewards that businesses can adjust instantly based on customer behavior. By combining this with Adyen's payment processing, merchants could offer immediate discounts, bonus points, or special offers right at checkout.
The acquisition represents Adyen's push beyond simple payment processing into broader commerce tools. The company already handles transactions for major brands but now wants to help them build stronger customer relationships through integrated rewards programs.
Both companies confirmed the transaction in identical press releases, calling it a move toward "real-time decisioning across commerce channels." The deal still requires regulatory approval before closing.
This merger could change how you earn and use rewards when shopping online or in stores. Instead of separate systems for payments and loyalty points, businesses could offer instant discounts and rewards right when you pay.
The acquisition is expected to close in the second half of 2026, pending regulatory approvals.
