Black Tabby Games Launches Publishing Arm After Slay the Princess Success
Black Tabby Games, the two-person team behind the popular horror game Slay the Princess, launched a new publishing division called Black Tabby Publishing on Thursday. The company has already signed two games for publication.

Black Tabby Games announced Thursday it's entering the indie game publishing business with a new division called Black Tabby Publishing. The studio is run by Tony Howard-Arias and Abby Howard, who created the hit horror games Slay the Princess and Scarlet Hollow.
The new publishing arm has already signed deals for two upcoming games. One is called Prove You're Human, which comes from Sunset Visitor, the developer behind the acclaimed game 1000xResist.
Slay the Princess launched in October 2023 and became a breakout success, earning over 16,000 positive reviews on Steam. The game puts a twist on fairy tale stories by having players confront a princess rather than rescue her. It recently got a major expansion called The Pristine Cut.
Black Tabby joins a growing trend of successful indie developers becoming publishers themselves. This allows them to use their industry knowledge and connections to help other small studios get their games to market.
This shows how successful indie game developers are expanding their reach beyond making games to helping other creators publish theirs. It could mean more unique indie games get the support they need to reach players.
Watch for announcements about the two signed games and their release dates.
