Bradley Cooper to Write, Direct and Star in Ocean's Prequel with Margot Robbie

Bradley Cooper is taking on triple duty as writer, director and star of an upcoming Ocean's Eleven prequel film. Warner Bros. officially confirmed the project during its CinemaCon presentation this week.

Cooper will star alongside Margot Robbie in the heist film, which is set to begin production this summer in Monaco. The current screenplay was written by Carrie Solomon, who penned the 2024 Netflix movie A Family Affair, though Cooper will be rewriting the script.

This marks Cooper's return to the director's chair following his successful directorial work on A Star Is Born, which earned him multiple Oscar nominations. The Ocean's franchise, which began with Ocean's Eleven in 2001, has been a consistent box office performer for Warner Bros.

The prequel will explore events before the original Ocean's trilogy, though specific plot details remain under wraps. Cooper and Robbie's casting suggests the film will feature both male and female leads in the heist crew.
