Candace Parker, Elena Delle Donne Named to Basketball Hall of Fame
WNBA stars Candace Parker and Elena Delle Donne will enter the Basketball Hall of Fame later this year. They'll be enshrined alongside the 1996 U.S. Olympic women's basketball team, Chamique Holdsclaw, and several NBA figures including Amar'e Stoudemire and Doc Rivers.

Two of the WNBA's most decorated players will receive basketball's highest honor when Candace Parker and Elena Delle Donne enter the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame later this year.
Parker, a three-time WNBA MVP, called the honor "truly special" when speaking to The Associated Press. She noted how she and Delle Donne "grew up battling against one another" throughout their careers.
The women will be enshrined alongside the legendary 1996 U.S. Olympic women's basketball team, which Parker said inspired her generation of players. Also entering the Hall of Fame are former WNBA star Chamique Holdsclaw, NBA veteran Amar'e Stoudemire, coaches Mike D'Antoni and Mark Few, referee Joey Crawford, and current 76ers coach Doc Rivers.
Parker expressed particular joy for Holdsclaw's recognition, saying she's "so happy that she is getting her flowers." The 1996 Olympic team won gold and helped launch the WNBA's creation the following year.
The enshrinement ceremony will take place later in 2024, though specific dates haven't been announced.
