CBS Renews 'Beyond the Gates' Soap Opera for Two More Seasons
CBS renewed its daytime soap opera 'Beyond the Gates' for two more seasons, keeping the show on air through 2027-2028. The network announced the news at a programming event in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
CBS has given 'Beyond the Gates' a major vote of confidence, renewing the daytime soap opera for two additional seasons. The show will now air through the 2027-2028 broadcast season.
Created by Michele Val Jean, 'Beyond the Gates' premiered in 2025 and follows a powerful family ruling over an upscale gated community filled with secrets and scandals. The show is the first new daytime soap opera to launch in years.
The renewal comes after the show was already picked up for a second season just 11 weeks after its debut. That quick renewal for the 2025-26 season showed CBS had early confidence in the program.
Daytime soap operas were once a staple of television but have largely disappeared from networks. Shows like 'General Hospital' and 'The Young and the Restless' remain, but new soaps are extremely rare in today's TV landscape.
This marks a rare win for daytime TV, which has been struggling for years. 'Beyond the Gates' is the first new daytime soap in years, showing networks still see value in the format that once dominated afternoon television.
The show will continue airing new episodes through the 2027-2028 season on CBS.
