John Krasinski Returns as Jack Ryan in 'Ghost War' Movie Trailer
Prime Video released the first trailer for 'Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost War,' bringing John Krasinski back as the CIA agent three years after his character left the spy world. Wendell Pierce returns as Greer, who pulls Ryan back into action for a new mission.
Prime Video dropped the first full trailer Thursday for 'Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost War,' featuring John Krasinski's return to his CIA hero role. The movie picks up three years after Ryan stepped away from the spy world following a Congressional hearing.
In the new film, Wendell Pierce's character Greer coaxes Ryan back into the CIA for a dangerous mission. The trailer shows Ryan pulled into the espionage world again after a covert mission reveals a deadly conspiracy.
Krasinski starred in four seasons of the Jack Ryan TV series on Prime Video, which ended in 2023. The character, based on Tom Clancy's novels, follows a CIA analyst who gets thrust into field operations and international crises.
The movie appears to be R-rated, suggesting more intense action than the TV series. Ghost War will continue Ryan's story in a new format while bringing back key cast members from the original show.
This marks Krasinski's return to one of his most popular roles after the Jack Ryan TV series ended. Fans of the show and action movies will get to see the character continue in a new movie format on Prime Video.
Prime Video has not announced a release date for 'Ghost War' yet.
