K-pop Group Seventeen Renews Contracts With All 13 Members

K-pop supergroup Seventeen made waves by announcing that all 13 members have renewed their contracts with their record label. The decision is rare in an industry where groups often lose members or disband entirely when their initial contracts expire.

Group leader S.Coups explained that the unanimous decision came after extensive discussions. "After a lot of deep and sincere conversations among us members, all 13 of us have decided to renew our contracts," he said.

Seventeen has built a reputation as one of K-pop's top performers. Media outlets have dubbed them "Performance Kings" and "K-pop Performance Powerhouse" for their concert tours and live shows. Time magazine also named them one of the best K-pop groups.

The group's success extends beyond performances. They've topped iTunes charts in 29 countries and earned the nickname "Kings of Synchronization" for their coordinated dance routines. Three members even formed a subgroup called BSS, releasing their debut single "Just Do It."

Contract renewals are major milestones in K-pop, where initial deals typically last seven years. Many groups face uncertainty during this period, with some members choosing to leave for solo careers or other opportunities.
