Grammy-winning country singer Kacey Musgraves made her return to Coachella on Sunday afternoon, performing for the first time at the festival in seven years. She took the stage at the Mojave Tent from 3:00 to 3:50 p.m. PT.
During her set, Musgraves debuted four new songs from her upcoming seventh studio album. She performed 'Dry Spell,' which was previously released, along with the title track 'Middle of Nowhere' and two other unreleased songs from the record.
The new album 'Middle of Nowhere' is set to release on May 1, 2026, just 13 days after her Coachella performance. Musgraves had already shared the title track 'Middle of Nowhere' ahead of her weekend two Coachella set.
Musgraves joins other surprise performers at this year's festival. Last weekend featured a special guest appearance by Jack White. The performance was part of Coachella's weekend two lineup, with the livestream featuring the Yuma stage instead of Mojave.
Musgraves is one of country music's biggest stars, with multiple Grammy wins. Her return to Coachella after such a long break shows how the festival keeps attracting major artists. Fans got a sneak peek at her new music before the album drops May 1.
Musgraves' new album 'Middle of Nowhere' releases May 1, 2026. Fans can expect more promotion and possibly additional live performances as the release date approaches.
