Lakers Beat Rockets 112-108 in Overtime, Take 3-0 Series Lead
The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Houston Rockets 112-108 in overtime on Friday. LeBron James scored 29 points to help the Lakers take a 3-0 lead in their NBA playoff series.

The Los Angeles Lakers moved to the brink of advancing in the NBA playoffs with a thrilling 112-108 overtime victory over the Houston Rockets on Friday night. LeBron James led the way with 29 points in the hard-fought win.
The game went to overtime after James couldn't connect on a potential game-winning shot at the end of regulation. But he made up for it in the extra period, adding a steal and a block in the frantic final minutes to help seal the victory.
The win gives the Lakers a commanding 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven Western Conference playoff series. The Rockets now face elimination, as no NBA team in history has ever successfully comeback from an 0-3 deficit to win a playoff series.
Elsewhere in the NBA playoffs, the Boston Celtics also won their game against the Philadelphia 76ers. The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 120-108 to take a 2-1 series lead, even without star player Victor Wembanyama.
The Lakers are now one win away from advancing to the next round of the playoffs. No NBA team has ever come back from being down 3-0 in a playoff series, meaning the Rockets face elimination.
Game 4 between the Lakers and Rockets will determine if Los Angeles advances or if Houston can force a Game 5.
