London Synagogue Hit in Latest Arson Attack as Police Arrest Two Suspects
A synagogue in north-west London was targeted in an attempted arson attack overnight. Two people wearing dark clothing and balaclavas approached the building with bottles containing what police believe was petrol and a brick.

A synagogue in Harrow, north-west London, suffered an attempted arson attack overnight, according to Jewish community leaders. The incident caused minor smoke damage but no injuries were reported.
Police said two suspects wearing dark clothing and balaclavas were seen approaching the synagogue just after midnight. They carried two bottles containing a substance believed to be petrol and used a brick to smash the bottles.
This attack follows a spate of similar incidents targeting synagogues in recent weeks. In a related case, London's Metropolitan Police arrested a 46-year-old man and 47-year-old woman in Watford on suspicion of "arson endangering life."
Jewish community organizations have expressed alarm at the pattern of attacks. "We are aware of another attempted arson, this time targeting a synagogue in north London, following similar recent incidents targeting the Jewish community," a spokesperson said.
Police have increased patrols around Jewish sites across London as they investigate the connections between these incidents.
This marks another attack on Jewish places of worship in London, part of a troubling pattern that threatens religious communities and could escalate tensions in the area.
Police continue investigating the attack and searching for the two suspects seen at the synagogue.
