Netflix Developing 'Nanny Diaries' Series with Scarlett Johansson as Producer

Netflix is turning 'The Nanny Diaries' into a TV series based on the bestselling novel by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus. The book was a number one New York Times bestseller that offered a behind-the-scenes look at wealthy Manhattan families through their nannies' eyes.

Scarlett Johansson will executive produce the project alongside Jonathan Lia and Keenan Flynn. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Leigh London Redman will also executive produce through Berlanti Productions.

Amy Chozick, known for 'House of Cards' and 'The Girls on the Bus,' will serve as showrunner with Jenny Bicks, who worked on 'Sex and the City' and 'The Greatest Showman.' This creative team brings experience with both political dramas and character-driven stories.

The original novel became a 2007 movie that starred Johansson as the nanny. The story follows a young woman working for an ultra-wealthy New York family and the culture clash that follows.
