Scottie Scheffler Shoots Rare Over-Par Round at Masters

World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler had a rare bad day at the Masters on Friday, shooting 2-over par (74) in the second round. The score marked just the third time in his career that Scheffler has shot over par at Augusta National Golf Club.

Scheffler started the tournament strong with a 2-under par round on Thursday. But Friday's round put him at even par for the tournament after two days.

The last time Scheffler shot over par at the Masters was in the second round of 2023, when he shot 75 (3-over par). His struggles on Friday broke a streak of under-par rounds at Augusta that had lasted since then.

Scheffler is known for his consistent play and rarely has bad rounds at major tournaments like the Masters. Augusta National is considered one of golf's toughest courses, where even top players can struggle with the fast greens and tricky pin positions.
